• Street Party Road Closure Application Form


    Please note the deadline for the receipt of this application for a road closure order is
    8 weeks before the event.


    Once the form has been submitted, you will need to email additional documentation to the council. You will receive an email on how to do this. Documents to include:

    • Public Liability Insurance cover note (minimum £5 million cover)
    • Road closure plan/map showing roads affected, signage, diversions, emergency access points, planned structures i.e. stage.
    • Copies of letters to all affected parties
    • Bus company response (as appropriate)

  • You will need to provide copies of corrospondance to the council and will receive an email on how to do this.

  • If you have checked any of the above boxes you may need to give a Temporary Event Notice in accordance with the Licensing Act 2003. You will be advised by telephone or by email if this is necessary.

  • You will need provide copies an Event Plan, including a diagram/plan showing location of any static displays and access for emergency vehicles and list any other elements of your event which are not covered by the check list. You will receive an email on how do this.

  • Traffic Management

  • If you intend to close the road to through traffic, you will need to send a traffic plan showing the exact extent of the closure and an alternative route for traffic. You will receive an email on how to provide this to the council.

     

    * NB If you need to suspend marked parking bays/taxi ranks, you will need to contact Surrey County Council Parking Services directly via parking@surreycc.gov.uk

  • Any information you provide on this form will be held by the Council in accordance the Data Protection Act 2018. The Council’s nominated representative for the purposes of the Act is the Council’s Information Governance Manager.
