Sale of Alcohol – if you intend to sell alcohol you will need to be appropriately licensed under the Licensing Act 2003.

Pavement Licences - the licensing of the placement of tables and chairs on pavements is administered by the Council under the Business and Planning Act 2020. See Pavement Licences.

Late Night Refreshment - traders that serve hot food or drink at any time between the hours of 23.00 and 05.00 will require the relevant licence under the Licensing Act 2003. See Late Night Refreshment Licence

Planning permission may be required depending on the location and number of days that trading takes place. See Development Planning Advice.

  trailer, gazebo etc.
- Copy of the V5C and current MOT certificate (if required)

- Copy of Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering certificate
  (where applicable)
- Public Liability Insurance certificate
- Gas safety certificate from a Gas Safe Registered engineer
  (where gas in use on site)

For new applications for a permanent annual consent a non-refundable Part 1 fee of £150 is payable. The remainder of the fee (Part 2) is payable on grant of the consent.

For ad hoc applications a non-refundable Part 1 fee of £50 is payable. The remainder of the fee (Part 2) is payable on grant of the consent.
