Draft recommendations for Bisley, Chobham and West End Parishes
The Council has conducted a review of the parishes of Bisley, Chobham and West End. The review included requesting general feedback on whether changes should be made to the three parishes, along with specific questions on the following matters:
· options for the parish boundaries to be amended so the properties in ‘Bisley Detached’ (3 properties in Scotts Grove Road, Chobham that fall within Bisley Parish) moving to Chobham parish;
· the option to alter the western boundary of West End parish to entirely remove Minorca Avenue, Deepcut from the parish, thereby correcting a historic anomaly.
The Council received comparatively few responses from residents of this area, the majority of which were supportive of existing arrangements. No responses were received from residents in ‘Bisley detached’. A degree of support was received for moving the West End parish boundary so it no longer incorporates properties within Minorca Avenue, Deepcut.
The Council is therefore recommending that, with the exception of altering the western boundary of West End parish, no changes are made to these parishes or parish councils at this time.
